What is cosmetic reconstruction?: Full Mouth Cosmetic Reconstruction
Dr. Costaras has perfected a process called cosmetic reconstruction, in which a patient's entire mouth is restored with beautiful porcelain veneers and crowns. For patients with missing teeth, dental implants or bridges are often part of the treatment plan. The mouth is restored one quadrant at a time, so proper dental function and occlusion are maintained throughout the treatment process. Patients wear laboratory-engineered temporary veneers while treatment is underway. For patients with neuromuscular disorders like TMJ or TMD, these temporaries act as an orthotic device providing relief from painful symptoms and allowing Dr. Costaras to determine the ideal jaw position to be restored during final reconstruction.
